A Taste of Colorado is Denver's Labor Day Weekend celebration. Children can stay busy for hours with games, carnival rides, educational exhibits, and more.

Tickets must be used to purchase food, beverages, and carnival rides. A strip of 8 tickets can be purchased for $5. Cash is accepted at all Denver Post ticket booths and at the carnival ride ticket booths. Checks and credit cards are not accepted. ATMs are located throughout the Festival grounds.

KidZone is a family-friendly area offering play equipment and a great variety of free, hands-on craft activities for children of all ages. Kids and adults can also enjoy carnival rides and games Saturday through Monday. EARLY BIRD wristbands can be purchased for $15 between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., Saturday through Monday. These wristbands are good for unlimited rides on the day of purchase until 5:00 p.m. ALL DAY wristbands can be purchased for $25 anytime from 10:30 a.m. to 2 hours before closing Saturday through Monday and are good for unlimited rides on the day purchased until closing.

Is a convenient area located in Colorado Kidsthe KidZone for parents to nurse, change diapers, and relax in a private environment complete with a rocking chair. An assortment of supplies will be provided, including diapers and baby wipes.

"Adventure Base 100," a premiere exhibit and celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America, will make its sole Colorado stop at the Festival and is an interactive 8,000-square-foot campus featuring immersive Scout-related experiences. The exhibit will include: a high-adventure ropes course for all visitors who are more than four feet tall and weigh less than 250 pounds; a multi-sensory experience that will offer visitors the sights, smells, and sounds of scouting via the IMAX-like video, "Go! Dome;" an overview about what it takes to become an Eagle Scout, the highest level of scouting; and a traveling scouting museum featuring an overview of the Boy Scouts of America's history, including a display of rare artifacts collected by the organization over the last 100 years.

Purina® Pro Plan® Rally to Rescue® ambassadors will discuss the program's advocacy for pet rescue and adoption. The organization has found homes for more than 314,000 dogs and cats since the program began in 2005. Consider taking home an adoptive pet and help meet their goal of 400,000 adoptions by the end of 2010.

Festival of Mountain and Plain area features artisans demonstrating Navajo weaving and culture, spinning, rug braiding, lace crocheting, felting, and quilting, along with the popular blacksmith demonstration.

Rocky Mountain Raptor Program Exhibit is where children can learn about birds, their environment, and their interactions with humans.

Colorado Mining Foundation Exhibit features free gold panning and educational materials on dinosaurs, volcanoes, rocks and minerals, and energy production and conservation.

Kid-friendly food vendors will be located along the perimeter of the KidZone selling hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn, and more.
