Hey Parents! Grab your socks and come on down to The Hop – Oh, and bring your kids too!
Have you heard the buzz on the newest location of The Hop? With excellent convenience, it is located near the intersection of Santa Fe and County Line (address and contact information listed below) – which is extremely exciting for those of us who’ve been waiting for something like this to arrive in our neighborhood! So, what is The Hop, you ask? Well, let me tell you...
The Hop is over 5,000 square feet of interactive entertainment for the whole family. Once inside, you will find a variety of bounce houses, inflatable slides, video games, air hockey, foosball, fun for the little ones, and more! So, what, besides an awesome selection, separates The Hop from other venues of its kind? The Hop is surprisingly accommodating to parents! They offer a television area with couches and a flat screen TV, so bring dad along and he can watch the big game in style. There are umbrella tables set up in the spacious play area with magazines incase you forgot to bring your favorite read. We took advantage of the opportunity to just sit and relax!

When I received this editorial assignment, I knew that I wanted to give a full report from a variety of perspectives – children of various ages along with their parents’ points of view. So, I gathered up a few friends and worked with a Hop party planner to organize a party. The staff at The Hop was a huge help in making suggestions, ordering our menu choices, and doing all the party preparations – a huge thank you to The Hop staff!!!

I, along with the other parents, was impressed with the facilities when we arrived. Everything was new and very clean – including the restrooms. Our children were given hand sanitizer before entering the play room – we liked that! Everyone removed their shoes, and socks were required for the bounce houses. We had forgotten socks for my littlest one, so we purchased a pair at the front desk for $1.

I wasn’t quite sure how the 13 month old in our party would do, but I was glad to see that he enjoyed himself at least as much as the 6 year olds did! He giggled as he rode around in the tyke cars, waddled through the trees in the children’s smaller, jungle-themed inflatable, and tried his best to balance a ball on the stream of air which floats the t-ball in place for the batting practice inflatable – one of the favorites at our party!

Our toddlers enjoyed scrambling through the various bounce houses, going cautiously at first down slides which were scaled to a toddler size, and then slowly becoming more comfortable until they were running through the bounce houses to escape from friends, laughing the entire time.

Our older children were taken with the colossal, inflatable slide which rose about 2 stories high in the air. They would creep up the soft stairs and come dashing down, crashing softly into the air-filled landing, safely bordered by inflatable walls. I think that this was a favorite for parents as well!
The basketball and boxing bounce houses were great for our 4-6 year olds. Boxing was particularly funny with the oversized boxing gloves on little bodies. Parents were pleased to see that helmets were provided for this activity, but I don’t think those gloves allowed for many quick movements. They did make it fun to watch though!

To catch their breath, the kids would slow down with a video game or an air hockey competition. We noted that these options required no further coins or tokens – everything was included in the admission or party price. We liked that!

After an hour of play, our kids were ready for the 45 minutes remaining for the party room. Hands were sanitized again as we left the play area. In the party room, everything was fantastically clean and decorated beautifully. The Hop provided a delicious cake and juice packets for our party – they have a selection of food and drink options available online. Party planners are very helpful in assisting with the choices that best suit your group. The Hop staff served our cake and did a wonderful job of keeping our kids happy! As our children wound down and laughed about the great time they had playing at The Hop, the parents visited about the experience and all agreed that we were quite pleased with our experience. The safety, cleanliness, and customer service was outstanding! We all felt comfortable relaxing as our children played in the big room full of entertainment options. There was always a staff member monitoring the activities and assisting us as needed. Everything was included in the one cost, and The Hop is very competitively priced! Party packages are listed online and open hop hours are available for $6 per child - if you don’t have a reason to organize a full party, but who doesn’t have a reason to party!!!

I would highly recommend a visit to the newest Hop location!
