New to Denver in 2010!
The Children’s Museum of Denver will be offering, for the first time, a series of Summer Day Camps. With the first session beginning in June, children ages 5 through 8 will come together in a superb educational play environment to work, hands-on, with a variety of mediums designed to promote the learning of science, math, literacy, culture and art. As always, The Children’s Museum of Denver will enhance their summer camp experience by incorporating their “learning by doing” play theories. Daily lessons will support the Colorado Model Content Standards, while having a lot of fun at the same time!
With each different camp theme, children will explore and discover while developing their cognitive skills, social-emotional growth and both their larger and fine motor development. The programs offered include:
· Bubble Bash Camp
· World Explorers Camp
· Musical Math Camp
Bubble Bash Camp will give children the opportunity to play with an assortment of bubble making tools, make bubbles large enough to stand in, create bubble art and have fun while learning about the science behind the art of bubble making.
World Explorers Camp will feature a 26 foot-tall earth balloon! The campers will step inside for a unique opportunity to explore our planet, from the inside out, and the many cultures that inhabit it.
Musical Math Camp will be offered for 5 and 6 year old campers and will involve moving and grooving to incorporate the dynamic combination of music, math and movement.
Full-day camps will keep your 7/8 year old laughing, playing and learning all day long. Morning or afternoon classes are just the right amount of time for your 5/6 year old. Options for early drop-off and late pick-up are available for all ages.
Registration began February 1st and space is limited to keep our class sizes small. Find details online at www.mychildsmuseum.org, email the Camp Registrar at camps@cmdenver.org, or call The Children’s Museum of Denver at 303-561-0146.
