The clean, clear waters of Rifle Gap State Park's 350-acre reservoir provide some of the best boating, fishing, swimming, picnicking, water-skiing and windsurfing in Colorado. The beach on the west side of the reservoir is popular for its family-friendly swimming. Campers like Rifle Gap's campgrounds for their wide-open sites, breathtaking views of the reservoir, and spectacular mountain vistas. The Fountain Valley Overlook is only 100 yards from the Visitor Center and provides spectacular views of several beautiful rock formations. NOTE: The Royal Gorge Bridge & Park is closed for the 2013 season due to wildfires. We may be partially open this fall (bridge only) but the park was devastated and 48 of our 52 structures were completely damaged. We are anticipating being open for the 2014 season but have no confirmed dates at this time. The theme park 3 million years in the making: Royal Gorge Bridge & Park. Rides, shows, and attractions include world's longest single span aerial tram and steepest Incline Railway. The awesome Gorge and Bridge are Colorado's Grand Canyon and Eiffel Tower.

Royal Gorge Re-Opening

The Royal Gorge Bridge & Park is in the midst of construction following the fire which shut down the park in 2013. Bus Tours March 15 - Summer, Weekends Only All guests will board a Royal Gorge vehicle to tour the gorge. This tour will include a stop on the 85-year-old Royal Gorge Bridge so guests can step out to enjoy the views, and a stop at the Royal Rush Skycoaster (extra pay feature) and Point Sublime. Bus tours will be on a first come, first serve basis and cost $10 per head. 2014 Grand Re-Opening (August) Experience the Bridge and Park in a brand new way. St. Vrain State Park is a family-friendly destination for visitors seeking a peaceful and simple outdoor break. It offers 604 acres of land and 152 acres of water split among several ponds. There are numerous campsites scattered across the park; most sites are on or near the banks of the ponds. About half of the campsites have electrical hookups with water.
