Friday night on April 13th, my family and I got to see our very first monster truck tour show! To say that my boys were excited about this event would be an understatement. They had been talking about the event for a few months now when I knew I'd be covering it here on Heartfully Heather. It's very rare I cover something like this, that doesn't deal with cooking a meal, parenting, health topics or home decor, but I live in an all boy family and it doesn't get more boy like that going to a monster truck show. I have to say I truly enjoyed myself and would love to go to another event like this with the family. I have tips for attending a monster truck show if you've never been to one that I'll talk about later in this post. If you are Interested in catching the next show? It's in Grand Forks North Dakota on April 21st! Tickets are affordable, I promise you won't want to miss it and its such a high for kids to see their toy monster trucks in action!
Here's our YouTube Highlight Reel:
If you've never been to a Monster truck show, you'll want to get some noise canceling headphones. You don't have to spend an arm and leg on these. In fact, I bought three pairs just to go to the show at Harbor Freight for $5.99! That is not a lot of money to protect your ears or your child's ears. Jaydon already had a pair that he uses for school. The noise canceling headphones are one size fits all and very adjustable for even small heads. Without having gone, I probably would have said not my cup of tea, but after going, I'd love to go to another one! There's just some energy about watching these drivers and riders do their stunts. They love getting the crowd worked up. Also, there were a lot of kids at this show. This is very much a family friendly show. If you have little boys, you'll light up their world letting them see a show like this.
I specifically thought the motorcycle riders were impressive doing flips on their bikes. They got a lot of air with their tricks.
My boys loved it and I even got glimpses of my Husband grinning ear to ear.
Braidy loved it! He was dancing to the music and I think he has a new-found love for his monster trucks after seeing some real ones in action.
