Well we made our annual trip to copper mountain last week and I am pretty sure it was the best one yet! Originally it was just my kids and my sisters, but last-minute my brothers kids got to join us so ALL the cousins got to enjoy copper mountain summer for the first time.

To be totally honest, I was a little bummed they didn't have their scenic chair lift on the summer activities docket this year because they are building new ones. It was seriously my favorite part last year because it gave me a chance to relax for a few minutes, we ate lunch on top of the mountain and I got some of the most amazing pictures including this one....
Little did I know, what Copper Mountain had in store for us was even better!
They unveiled the brand new Rocky Mountain Coaster. The line was long but it goes really fast so we were up to the front in no time. I took my youngest nephew who is 4, and wasn't sure if we would love or hate it. I will NEVER forget him squealing the entire time. The Rocky Mountain Coaster is 5,800 feet long, making it one of the longest in North America. It descends 430 vertical feet on an average grade of 10.9%. The coaster runs in both the winter and summer, making it an activity to enjoy no matter what time of year you visit. I really couldn't believe how long of a ride it was. I was expecting something pretty short but this was super long and well worth the price of admission.

Our favorite event we did last year during the summer was the Wrecktangle. It’s their newest attraction and my kids could have spent all day on this ninja warrior type obstacle course.
Just like every year, Copper Mountain does not disappoint!
