Adventure Forest – opening June 3!
A swinging, scrambling, soaring, sliding, most curious adventure is coming to the Children’s Museum, and the opening date is right around the corner! Check Facebook and mychildsmuseum.org for the big announcement and all the details you need to know.
Joy Park Free Night Friday, June 21, 4 – 8 pm
Discover the joy of climbing, digging, zip-lining, splashing, messy, all-in play for free! We’re keeping the exhibit open after hours the third Friday of the month through September, in collaboration with Denver Parks and Rec.
2019 Joy Park Free Nights: July 19, August 16 and September 20.
Please note: Joy Park Free Nights are rain or shine. Except for the restrooms, the inside of the Museum is closed.
Artist-in-Residence, Adolfo Romero
Open studio hours: Saturday, June 1 and Friday, June 7, 11 am – 2 pm
Open studio finale: Friday, June 14, 11 am – 3 pm
Adolfo Romero is a local artist who encourages everyone to delight in what makes us both unique and alike, and to discover how the human spirit, culture and history connect. Check out his final open studio hours to experiment with mosaic and get a lesson in hopscotch – an ancient game played all around the world.
Our workshops offer an exclusive experience like no other, and our June workshops are sure to put you in the spirit of summer! Tickets start at $10/member, $20/non-member and include Museum admission. Learn more and register at mychildsmuseum.org.

Joy Park Adventures

Guests can craft with items found in nature, track bugs or make a sun catcher in our year-round outdoor adventure. Programs vary.

Food for Thought: Sundays, 11 am and 12 pm
All recipes, demos and tastings in The Teaching Kitchen during June include delicious new ways to use avocado, the ingredient of the month. Every day in The Teaching Kitchen is different, schedules at mychildsmuseum.org.

Beat the summer heat with refreshing snacks like fruit pizza, banana sushi and apple donuts with Children’s Hospital Colorado.
o French Chef Series
Tuesday, June 25, 2 and 3 pm
Make French cuisine like crepes and pastries with Alliance Française de Denver.
Cooking class space is limited, first-come, first-served. Sign up outside The Teaching Kitchen. Programming subject to change.
Daily, 10 am – 4 pm
Guests can stop by The Art Studio to create with clay and glaze, or take in a wheel throwing demonstration or hand-building class. For a small fee, glaze and fire a piece in one of our kilns.
StoryTime Daily, weekdays at 9:30 am and 11:30 am, weekends at 11:30 am
Each StoryTime has a theme with exciting tales and a fun activity, craft or song.

Instructors from Alliance Française de Denver will engage young ones with a French story, song and activity.

Early Learners’ StoryTimes are filled with books, songs and finger rhymes, designed specifically for children 3 and under.
