Museum At Home
We love introducing you to all kinds of activities in the Museum and MuseumLab, and love it even more when you keep the projects going beyond the Museum!
Here are some creative do-it-yourself projects and activities you can do at home.
Kid makers, please work with a parent or caregiver on every project and always be very careful when using tools of any kind.
Children's Museum of Pittsburgh was recently named One of 10 Award Winning Museums offering online programming by USA Today's 10 Best Reader's Choice for its Museum At Home projects. Among the many Museum At Home projects the recent April 8-15 New Ways to Say "Hi" Challenge, tasked kids to come up with new and creative ways to greet each other during times of social distancing. Other lessons, have included how to make yarn from an old T-shirt, net making, folding origami hearts and more....with creative do-it-yourself, do-it-at-home projects offered multiple times every week.
